What's Happening?

Do Have sex, don't have sex, do wear condoms, don't get STIs, be cool, don't drink?

The messages you get can be confusing and it's sometimes hard to decide what to do. Everyone's different and we all feel differently about these things. Our family backgrounds and experiences have made each of us an individual.

Does everyone have to make the same kinds of decisions? Am I the only one who feels like this?

So OK we're all different, but each of us goes through puberty sooner or later. Some people go through puberty at 10 or 11, some people at 15 or 16, for some people it's even later.

Often changes in friendships and relationships are caused by these emotional and physical changes that are happening to you. These changes can make you feel more self conscious, maybe make you feel embarrassed, or make you worry about what other people think of you.
You can also start to experience sexual feelings and you might have fantasies about sex.

Is this normal?

Totally! These changes are ones that all of us experience. As we grow older all of us change and so do our feelings and emotions about the sex we are, and how we feel sexually. These changes are sometimes called changes in our sexuality.

Often we begin to notice these feelings when our friendships change and we become more interested in relationships.

So what's the difference between a friendship and a relationship?
