Attraction
Who we "like" or are "attracted to", or who we fall "in love" with depends on our sexual orientation. This is something each of us has to discover for ourselves as we experience friendships and relationships with different people. People who are attracted to the opposite sex (e.g. girl/boy relationships) are described as being "straight" or preferring "heterosexual" relationships.
People who are attracted to people of the same sex as they are (e.g. boy/boy or girl/girl relationships) are described as "gay" or "lesbian" (if you're a girl) or preferring "homosexual" relationships. Some people have always felt this way, while other people recognize these feelings later on in life. Being attracted to people the same sex as you is really OK, it doesn't in any way change who you are.
Some people like both guys and girls and can have relationships with men or women. This is called being "bisexual" or "bisexuality".
It doesn't matter who you are attracted to, have relationships with or what label you put on it. The world is full of people loving different people for different reasons. Some people get worried or confused if they are attracted to someone who is the same sex as they are, because it's not the 'norm'. That doesn't mean it's not normal though. Lots of different people are gay, lesbian and bisexual (i.e. that girl down the road, my bro, your doctor, Ellen Degeneres, your friend, that super spunk on TV, the waitress in that cafe) all of them are happy, strong, on to it people who have the right to love.
