UN World Summit on Sustainable Development (WSSD)

FPAID provided input into the development of NZ’s position for the UN World Summit on Sustainable Development (held in Johannesburg, South Africa, 26 August – 4 September 2002), particularly focussing on population, reproductive health, gender and human rights issues.
FPAID will also attend post WSSD briefings and formulate a plan for disseminating information on the Plan for Implementation. This will include the Minister for the Environment briefing the NZ Parliamentarians’ Group on Population and Development (NZPPD).
